Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Join CAP and make a meaningful difference! We are a state-funded social service agency seeking caring, reliable and compassionate individuals to support adults with developmental disabilities. In the Greater Phoenix area, we have Group Homes in good neighborhoods; several in North East Phoenix, a few in North West Phoenix and Glendale. In addition, we have Group Homes in Tempe, Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert. We have 4 Adult Day Programs, 1 in NE Phoenix, 1 in NW Phoenix and 2 in Mesa.

May have opportunities to pick up extra shifts Job Responsibilities Provide compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Assist clients with daily living activities in a group home or day program setting. Help clients build independence, life skills, and community connections. Maintain a safe, clean, and positive environment for all residents.

Requirements Age:

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Education:

High school diploma or GED equivalent (or actively working toward one.)

Experience:

Caregiving experience is preferred but not required.

Certifications:

Valid Driver's License and CPR certification are preferred but not required.

Training:

Comprehensive and Mandatory PAID training, regardless of past experience or certificates. For seasoned individuals it is a great refresher course! Paid for as long as you complete the training and work at least one shift with us.

Onboarding:

Must fill out the required paperwork prior to training.

Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card:

If you don't have one, we can assist with the requirements.

Minimum Weight Requirement:

Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
