Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling lives in their home and community settings. Your contributions will empower residents to achieve their personal goals while ensuring their rights are respected and upheld. Duties As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will include: Assisting individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Observing and documenting patient behavior and progress, ensuring any changes are communicated effectively. Supporting residents in participating in community activities and social interactions to promote inclusion. Implementing individualized care plans that respect resident rights and preferences. Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for individuals in your care. Maintaining a safe and clean environment in group home or residential settings. Experience The ideal candidate will have: Experience in caregiving or direct support roles, particularly in home community care or group home settings. Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy for individuals with disabilities. Experience with developmental disabilities and setting boundaries. Strong observational skills to monitor patient behavior and respond appropriately. Shifts Available:

•We are a 24 hour 365 agency which means that we work on holidays, weekends, day or night depending on the hours that need to be filled• We are looking for someone who has flexibility with their schedule and willing to commute from Fortuna to McKinleyville We have weekdays, weekends, overnights and subbing positions available

Pay:

$19.90 per hour
