CareGiving In Home Care in Bakersfield, CA, is seeking Home Care Aides for a PRN position. We are located at 5701 Truxtun Ave #220 Bakersfield
CA 93309.
Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and reliable. Responsibilities Must be 18 years or older. High school graduate or GED CPR & First Aid certified Recent TB Valid DL and car insurance, reliable vehicle Provide assistance to Clients in day-to-day activities Ensure Clients receive their proper medication in a timely manner Communicate with medical professionals about the Client's health or issues that may arise Prepare and administer meals in accordance with dietary needs Shall have one year-full-time experience in personal care or an institutional setting, such as a hospital or nursing home, OR Shall have one-year full-time experience within the last five years in direct client care in a home care agency setting. Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions. Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Attends a minimum of (5) initial training upon pre-employment. Attends a minimum of (5) hours of continuing education training annually. Must have a criminal history check conducted prior to being offered work with this agency. Is medically cleared for communicable diseases and has all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact. Qualifications Must adhere to the client's plan of care. Must follow agency's policies & procedures. Report abuse, neglect, exploitation, etc, according to the agency's guidelines. Must always use proper body mechanics. Ensure home care services are provided in a safe and professional manner. Use proper techniques when performing or assisting with Activities of Daily Living. Follow basic infection control procedures & universal precautions. Must report to work at a scheduled time & leave at a scheduled time. Understand and respect clients' rights and responsibilities. $17.00 - $17.10 per hour
