To many, this group of people was considered a test case on the validity of community support. Half of this group consisted of people with significant medical needs, while the other half consisted of people with significant behavioral support needs. Many professionals at the institution predicted failure within the first three months. Now, years later, those same people continue to live and work in the community. Presently, Ambitions provides support to more than 550 people with developmental disabilities in Washington, California, and Idaho. Job description The heart of what we do is support and serve adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in a residential and day program setting. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with Ambitions you'll be one of our extraordinary people enriching the lives of those we serve. Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
DSP 1 & 2
preferred- Must be compassionate!
- Previous caregiver experience preferred
- Valid driver's license in good standing
