In this role, you will support adults with developmental disabilities who also have co-occurring substance use and mental health needs. Our residents live in a structured, home-like setting while working toward sobriety, greater independence, and transition to less restrictive living. As a DSP, you'll provide the day-to-day support, encouragement, and structure that helps residents maintain a substance-free environment and build the life skills they need to thrive. This position reports to the Administrator and the Chief Financial Officer. Duties Provide direct, person-centered support to adults with developmental disabilities and co-occurring substance use needs Cook and prepare daily meals, plan menus, shop for groceries, and accommodate special diets Perform household duties — cleaning, laundry, dishes, trash, and general upkeep Administer and document resident medications accurately per facility policy and Community Care Licensing regulations Assist residents with personal care and hygiene (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting) with dignity and respect Support recovery activities, counseling, 12-step participation, and community outings Respond with care and calm to behavioral, emotional, and medical needs, following each resident's support plan Document progress and communicate with the care team

Qualifications Required:

A genuine passion for providing care and supporting people through recovery Bachelor's degree (or relevant experience) — recent graduates majoring in substance abuse / addiction studies, psychology, social work, human services, or a related field encouraged to apply Experience serving persons with developmental disabilities preferred; relevant coursework, internships, or volunteer experience also valued Ability to complete Direct Support Professional Training (Year 1 and Year 2) and ongoing substance use training Valid California driver's license and clean driving record (transporting residents is required) Ability to pass a criminal background check and health screening per
