Job Details Description Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP) -
Paid Training Provided Pay:
$19-$20/hour starting pay Higher pay may be available for candidates with CNA certification, Medical Assistant certification, caregiving experience, or other healthcare experience. Make a Difference Every Day Join Home of Guiding Hands as a Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP) supporting adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential care setting. This is a rewarding entry-level caregiver opportunity for compassionate individuals who want to help others while building experience in healthcare, behavioral health, caregiving, or human services. As a DSP, Caregiver, or Direct Care Support Professional, you'll help clients live safely, independently, and actively in their community. You'll support daily routines, encourage independence, and take clients to fun community outings, appointments, recreational activities, shopping trips, and events throughout San Diego County. No experience is required - we provide paid training and ongoing support. What You'll Do Support adults with disabilities with daily living activities Assist with meals, light housekeeping, and personal care Provide companionship and emotional support Transport clients to appointments, activities, and community outings Encourage independence and social interaction Create a safe, positive, and supportive home environment Complete simple daily documentation What We're Looking For Compassionate, dependable, and patient individuals At least 18 years old Valid California driver's license Comfortable driving clients to activities and appointments Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays Caregiving, CNA, DSP, healthcare, behavioral health, or direct care experience is a plus but not required Why Join Home of Guiding Hands?
