Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration; observe for changes in condition and report findings promptly. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safe and accurate delivery of treatments. Facilitate patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to promote safety during mobility assistance. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs while maintaining proper food safety standards. Maintain clean and safe living environments by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols. Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations; communicate effectively with team members, clients, and families regarding progress or concerns. Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and first aid/CPR certification. Experience in group home settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely; familiarity with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively support client needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
