About the Role We are looking for motivated new grad students to become part of our DME Team. This is the perfect opportunity for graduating students who are interested in keniesiology or becoming a Physical Therapist. No prior experience needed. We will train. Work with a wide spectrum of highly regarded orthopedic surgeons and healthcare providers in the Bay Area. Gain considerable experience in patient care. Grow as a professional working in a fun, fast-paced, collaborative, and diverse environment. What You'll Do Assisting in applying and removing casts, splints, and dressings as directed Assisting in fitting patients with braces, boots, other DME as ordered and directed by physician Performing gait training and crutch fitting as directed Providing patient education materials, communicates physician advice/instructions to patient Providing patient care under the supervision of a certified Athletic Trainer Ensuring that all necessary documentation is obtained as it relates to payer requirements and standard operating procedures Performing patient care responsibilities as assigned, which may include scheduling patients, inventory maintenance, order processing, delivery, explanation of insurance benefits, and courtesy follow up calls Additional duties as assigned
