This role is essential in providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs in various settings, including home care and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve, ensuring their safety, dignity, and independence. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, fostering a positive environment.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's specific needs.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of living spaces, promoting a safe and comfortable environment.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities, which may involve heavy lifting or transferring clients.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Administer first aid and CPR when necessary and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
- Document daily activities and any changes in client condition accurately. Experience
- Previous experience in home care or direct support roles is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A valid certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
