The ideal candidate will have experience in home care, long-term care, and memory care settings. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients while ensuring their safety and comfort in their own homes or residential facilities. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide catheter care and manage other medical needs as directed by healthcare professionals. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Prepare meals and assist with nutritional needs, including feeding when necessary. Launder clothing and bedding to maintain a clean living environment for clients. Help clients with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health plans. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Document daily activities and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider. Requirements Previous experience in home care, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred. Knowledge of CPR and first aid techniques is a plus. Ability to perform catheter care and understand basic medical systems related to client health. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic. High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional certifications in caregiving or nursing assistance are advantageous.
