Enhanced Direct Support Professional (EDSP) Coryell Autism Center - Santa Cruz, CA $34.00/hour starting | Part-time Job Overview The Enhanced Direct Support Professional (EDSP) plays a vital role in supporting adults with autism by delivering personalized care that enhances independence and overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and community integration Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) and Individual Program Plans (IPP) to meet each client's individual needs Facilitate access to community resources and opportunities that promote social engagement and skill development Serve as a positive role model, fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive environment Collaborate with team members and families to ensure a high standard of care and consistency of support The Enhanced designation for this role pertains to clients benefiting from staff with advanced experience and training. Skills Strong communication skills and ability to connect with clients and families Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with diverse needs Required Qualifications Minimum of 6 years experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities Valid California driver's license with clean driving record and current auto insurance TB clearance and successful completion of Live Scan background check Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Schedule Multiple daytime shifts available Overnights also available (at IHSS rate) Flexible scheduling; potential for full-time options Expected hours: 18-24/week (more if working overnights) Apply today to join a mission-driven team making a real impact in Santa Cruz County.
