If you are passionate about providing care and support to others, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Support consumers to achieve greater independence, belonging , and well-being. This job is for you if you like Arts and Crafts and enjoy assisting individuals with IDD with personal care, toileting, changing, feeding, and teaching them basic life skills. Duties Ensure the safety, health, and success of the participants Assist individuals with with activities, basic life skills, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and participate in community outings Document and monitor individuals' progress, and maintaining regular, clear communication with staff, clients' family members, and other involved parties Taking the individuals to community outings while representing the company in a professional and positive manner and also participating in activities Providing transportation using company provided vehicle Implement medication administration protocols in compliance with HIPAA regulations and care plans Ability to handle stressful situations calmly Uphold clients' rights and promote independence Engage in social activities to promote social skills and community integration, and companionship Assist with lifting and transferring clients as required Knowledge of clients care practices and procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs Knowledge of consumer care techniques including CPR and First Aid is a plus Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor Ability to follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation
Position Requirements:
Candidates... Must have experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities Must have DSP training, 1 year required, 2 years preferred Must have valid CA driver's license and a clean driving record Must pass fingerprint clearance and physical, including a TB-test Must be responsible, reliable, and respectful Join our dynamic team of dedicated professionals and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
