Job Description
Pacific On Call is a healthcare staffing agency based in Thousand Oaks, CA placing home health aides and caregivers with top-rated home health companies in the Ventura County and greater Los Angeles area. We connect dedicated caregivers with flexible, consistent work close to home. We are currently hiring Home Health Aides and Caregivers to join our growing network of care professionals. This role offers flexible hours, allowing you to create a schedule that fits your lifestyle while providing essential care to individuals in their homes. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs, observing changes, and reporting findings accurately Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment Utilize specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Document care activities thoroughly in compliance with healthcare standards and care plans Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and social workers to deliver comprehensive care Maintain patient observation records diligently to track progress or identify concerns Experience Prior experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous Familiarity with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient observation techniques Experience using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids for transfers Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and protocols Strong communication skills for working effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams Why Work With Pacific On Call We match you with clients close to your location Flexible scheduling around your availability Consistent hours with reliable home health companies Paid orientation from day one Mileage reimbursement provided To apply: submit your resume and a brief note about your caregiving experience.
