(CCA) is a mission-driven, private non-profit agency dedicated to empowering Colorado citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Summary We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a sweet, nonverbal young adult on the autism spectrum as he participates in fun outings and home activities. This is a meaningful opportunity to help build social connections and community engagement while having fun and learning together. Responsibilities Plan fun outings and support participation in community activities (walks in the park, bike rides, going to the gym, etc.). Provide transportation for all community outings. Assist with activities within the home (listening to music, playing games, etc.). Provide hands-on support with ADLs and personal care (feeding, toileting, transferring, etc.). Encourage independence by promoting skill development in various areas of daily living (communication skills, coping skills, feeding skills, etc.). Available Shifts Shift 1 (FT; $22/hr) : Saturday 5pm

  • Monday 5am, Monday 5pm
  • Tuesday 5am Shift 2 (FT; $22/hr) : Tuesday 9pm
  • Wednesday 5am, Wednesday 9pm
  • Thursday 5am, Thursday 5pm
  • Friday 5am, Friday 5pm
  • Saturday 5am Requirements Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly individuals who need behavioral supports.
Knowledge of behavioral therapies or a strong interest in learning. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with the individual, his family, and his care team. Compassionate attitude towards helping others achieve their goals. High School Diploma or GED. Mature & dependable; minimum age of 21. Valid CO driver's license. Must meet background and reference requirements. Reliable vehicle with proof of auto insurance. Clean driving record. No suspensions & less than three tickets in three years. Computer/smart phone skills sufficient to complete required documentation.
