TSS Direct Support Professional -
PRN Days Position Overview:
A private client in his mid-20s on the Autism Spectrum and with OCD is seeking a compassionate, empathetic, and organized resident care aide to join his care team. This role offers PRN availability and provides an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain experience in mental health and clinical care while working with individuals across different age groups. Opportunity to move into part-time or full-time position when/if they open up. Client and family are wonderful and have good retention and team culture. The ideal candidate should have experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), however, those in the mental health or caregiving space with aptitude can be trained! The role involves assisting the client in their home, providing companionship, supporting daily activities, and engaging in meaningful interactions to promote well-being. Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients with personal care services and provide companionship. Perform light housekeeping tasks and maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Support with ADLs Monitor and document clients' presentations and progress. Run errands, including grocery shopping and picking up medications or household items. Provide transportation to and from appointments and help schedule appointments. Attend doctor visits with clients and report summaries to the Care Manager. Participate in weekly team meetings and maintain open communication during office hours. Offer behavioral health interventions and collaborate with family members as needed. Anticipate and address clients' needs while adhering to emergency protocols.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or working toward) in a mental health-related field. Current CPR certification (will cover cost/training) QMAP certification (will cover cost/training) Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation. Experience working with ASD and OCD (preferred). Must pass a criminal background check. Current flu shot.
Schedule:
Sunday -Wednesday 7am-7pm or Thursday - Saturday 7am-7pm (on-call) Employees receive one 30-minute unpaid meal break per shift, which may be taken at the employee's discretion when it is safe and appropriate based on the client's needs (e.g., when the client is settled or does not require active support)

$23-$30 per hour
