This is a full-time position, working Monday - Friday, approximately 30 - 36 hours per week. The highest need for support is typically in the early morning hours, so the shift will start around 5:30 / 6:00 AM, and last until the early afternoon. Our Direct Support Professional (DSP) will assist the Host Home Provider or other natural support provider in supervising and providing care to an individual with substantial intellectual and developmental disabilities by: Implementing behavioral and medical care plans Administering medications Completing daily documentation requirements Transporting to and from appointments Assisting with community inclusion outings Assisting with personal care and hygiene routines (bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.) Completion of household tasks as related to the individual, such as laundry, meal preparation, meal cleanup, bedroom and bathroom cleaning, etc.) Our ideal candidate will be kind, compassionate, and comfortable with non-verbal communication. We're looking for someone who will provide meaningful, person-centered, individualized support, and who will ensure the self-worth, health, safety and welfare of the individual receiving services. You must have a valid Colorado driver's license and a clean driving record, and have the ability to physically assist with wheelchairs, walkers or other mobility devices.
