Home Health Aide

Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a strong commitment to caregiving, attention to detail, and adherence to health regulations. Duties Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication management. Maintain accurate medical records and document patient observations and care provided. Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure patient safety. Prepare meals and assist with nutritional needs according to dietary restrictions. Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Observe and report any changes in the patient's condition or behavior to the healthcare team. Engage patients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Qualifications Previous experience in home health care or caregiving is preferred but not required. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Familiarity with medical terminology and basic medical procedures is advantageous. Ability to perform patient observation effectively, recognizing changes in health status. Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence at home. Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
