Employment Options is a progressive social service agency, locally serving adult individuals with acquired brain injuries. We are seeking PCA/Companions to assist brain injury survivors in achieving their goals and independence. As a PCA/Companion, you will be providing 1-on-1 assistance with an individual in their home and out in the community. We strive to provide outstanding services through deep, meaningful relationships between staff and individuals. All services provided are detailed through a personal care plan that is custom-made for every individual.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Providing direct support and supervision of an assigned individual, with the goal of increasing and achieving quality of life as defined by the individual.
    • Duties may include non-medical physical assistance, assist assigned individual with self care and hygiene. In addition, responsibilities may include light housekeeping duties such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes and dishes.
    • Establish and maintain effective, professional communication and relationships with individuals, co-workers, family members and other essential team members.
    • Provide transportation into the community (grocery shopping, medical appointments, etc.)
    • Being aware of individuals medical conditions and providing reminders to take medications. Applicants will need to meet the following requirements:
    • Minimum high school diploma or GED required
    • Must have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle with valid registration and automobile insurance.
    • Must submit to a criminal background check and motor vehicle driving record.
