CareBuilders at Home is seeking highly experienced and highly skilled career caregivers who want to make a difference. As a caregiver on our team, you'll deliver essential support and companionship that helps clients live independently with a better quality of life. In this role, you'll make a real impact by offering dynamic care and meaningful companionship that enhances each client's daily life. CareBuilders at Home caregivers provide non-medical homemaker and companion services to clients in the comfort of their homes. Caregivers support clients by promoting safety, independence, and quality of life while following all agency policies, client care plans, and state regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Some of your responsibilities might include: Following individualized care plans and communicating any changes in condition Providing safety oversight Assisting clients with personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.) Providing support for safe mobility (experience with a Hoyer lift preferred) Providing companionship and emotional support Escorting clients to appointments, errands, or community activities Providing light housekeeping, laundry services, household organization Meal planning and preparation according to dietary needs Grocery shopping and errands Perform other duties as assigned within agency scope
Caregiver Requirements:
HHA, PCA, or PCT certification CPR Certification preferred Follow a detailed care plan and complete daily reporting post shift Valid drivers license and clean driving record if transportation is provided as part of duties A valid driver's license is not a requirement to apply for the job or to be hired. Must pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle driving record check Legally authorized to work in the United States 18 years of age or older Ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time Maintain client confidentiality and privacy Comply with CT elder abuse and neglect reporting requirements Have a compassionate and professional attitude with excellent communication skills. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
