Summary As a Direct Care Worker at Point Of Hope Inc., you will play a vital role in providing compassionate support to individuals with various needs. This position is essential in helping our clients lead fulfilling lives while promoting their independence and well-being. Responsibilities Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual disabilities and neurological impairments. Assist clients in daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Promote independence by encouraging clients to participate in decision-making processes. Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and care provided. Foster a supportive and respectful environment that upholds resident rights. Requirements Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred. Strong caregiving skills and a compassionate approach to client care. Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy principles. Basic first aid certification is a plus. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
