$16.00 per hour (USD) Cape Fear Life Enhancement Services is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional to work with participants within our ICF/IDD/Innovations Group Homes in Wilmington, NC. Direct Support Professional works with individuals with Autism/IDD.
CAPE FEAR LIFE ENHANCEMENT SERVICES IS ALSO NOW OFFERING A SIGN ON BONUS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$1000. $500 PAID
AFTER SIX MONTHS AND ANOTHER
$500 PAID
AFTER ONE YEAR OF EMPLOYMENT WITH THE ORGANIZATION.
Under the supervision of the Group Home Manager, the Direct Support Professional works closely with the participants to implement planned daily activities to enhance everyday life skills. These activities include but not limited to, assisting and transporting participants to appointments, community outings, grocery shopping, daily house chores, assist with cooking, educational activities, medication administration, etc. The Direct Support Professional possess strong communication skills to ensure the health and safety and will advocate for each participant.
Education requirement:
High School Graduate or Equivalent. CNA is preferred, but not required.
Job Requirements :
The successful candidate must be at least 18 years of age with a valid North Carolina Driver's License. Prefer at least one-year experience in providing services to people with Autism/IDD.
Clearance Requirements :
Clear health care registry and background check. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
