Job Description

Overview Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and reliable caregivers and Home Health Aides (DSPs and CNAs are encouraged to apply as well) to provide exceptional in-home and community-based care to individuals of all ages. In this vital role, you will support clients with daily activities, medical needs, and emotional well-being, fostering independence and enhancing quality of life. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure clients receive personalized, respectful, and comprehensive care in a safe environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Medication Reminders, following medical documentation protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral support Observe patient conditions closely, report changes promptly, and document all care activities thoroughly in medical records Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions, assist with meal preparation, and manage laundry or light cleaning tasks to maintain a clean living environment. Skills Must have previous caregiving experience as one of the following: caregiver, resident assistant, Direct Support Professional, Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or nurse Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments with long-term care experience is preferred Strong ability to observe patient conditions carefully and respond appropriately to changes in health status Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to caregiving tasks and patient care procedures Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred; additional certifications such as hospice care or Alzheimer's/Dementia training are a plus Ability to assist with complex ADLs, including medication reminders (not medication administration), and possible use of mobility aids, such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general; familiarity with home & community care practices is highly valued Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining HIPAA compliance Capable of performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, cooking nutritious meals, and ensuring a safe environment for clients Join our team if you're passionate about providing heartfelt care that empowers individuals to live their best lives. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
