This is a Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) opportunity through CareerSource North Central Florida (NCFL) for WIOA Youth Program. CareerSource NCFL has several options under the WIOA Training Program. The program is designed to assist those with significant barriers to employment in both obtaining new skills and long-term employment. If you believe you have a significant barrier to employment, you should speak with one of our WIOA Career Navigators to determine your eligibility. This is a paid internship through the WIOA Youth Program for the program participant to gain employability skills and specific occupational skills. Referred candidates will not have the required skills at the beginning of the internship, the training plan developed will outline the goals for the candidate to gain some of the required skills during the internship. Job Title Wex - Assistant Office Personnel - Home Care Services Company Overview Protecting Angels provides compassionate, professional care designed to give families peace of mind. We specialize in Alzheimers and Dementia Care, 24-Hour Home Care, Personal Home Care, Companion Care at Home, Post-Hospital Home Care, and offer a new Assisted Living Residential Care Home. Position Summary The Assistant Office Personnel Intern supports daily administrative operations to ensure smooth client services and caregiver coordination. This role is ideal for a youth participant seeking hands-on office experience in a healthcare environment. Interns will learn scheduling, documentation, communication, and confidentiality practices critical to homecare.
Key Responsibilities Front Office Support:
Greet visitors, answer phones professionally, route calls/messages, and assist with general inquiries.
Scheduling Assistance:
Help coordinate caregiver/client schedules; update calendars; confirm appointments.
Documentation & Filing:
Maintain organized digital and paper records; assist with client intake forms and caregiver timesheets.
Data Entry:
Enter accurate information into databases or spreadsheets (e.g. contact lists, service logs).
Correspondence:
Draft and proof simple emails, letters, and reminders; prepare meeting materials.
Supply & Office Organization:
Monitor office supplies; keep common areas neat andpresentable.
Confidentiality & Compliance:
Follow HIPAA/privacy guidelines, safety protocols,and company policies.
Event/Orientation Support:
Assist with training materials and sign-in sheets fororientations or meetings
Team Collaboration:
Partner with caregivers and administrative staff to support day-to-day operations. Other Duties as

Take on tasks that build practical office skills and professional readiness. Qualifications Interest in healthcare, administration, or human services. Professional communication skills (phone etiquette, email, in-person). Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook or Google Workspace). Strong organization and attention to detail; able to handle confidential information. Reliability and punctuality; positive attitude and willingness to learn. Previous experience (volunteering, babysitting, school office tasks) is helpful but not required.
