Supportive Care, LLC is seeking two dependable, compassionate, and professional male Direct Support Professionals to rotate coverage for an adult male with developmental disabilities in Live Oak, Florida. Due to the individuals specific behavioral-support needs, personal-care requirements, and safety considerations, the family has requested male staff for this assignment.
ABOUT THE INDIVIDUAL
The individual is a middle-aged male who is ambulatory and able to communicate verbally. He requires supervision, companionship, assistance with daily living activities, and consistent behavioral support. The ideal candidates will be patient, respectful, dependable, and comfortable maintaining appropriate professional boundaries while following the individuals support plan. Additional information regarding the individuals needs and behaviors will be discussed privately with qualified applicants during the interview process.
SCHEDULE
The following is the consumers repeating two-week coverage schedule. The hours will be divided between two rotating caregivers. One caregiver will not be responsible for covering the entire schedule. Week 1:
Monday-Friday:
8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Saturday:
3:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Sunday:
Off Week 2:
Monday-Thursday:
8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Friday:
1:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday:
Off The schedule repeats every two weeks. Major holidays are off so caregivers can spend time with their families. The final rotation and assigned days will be determined based on the familys needs and the selected caregivers availability.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide supervision, companionship, and person-centered support Assist with meals and basic meal preparation Assist with dressing, personal hygiene, toileting, and other daily living needs as required Encourage independence and appropriate participation in daily activities Support safe community outings and activities Maintain clear and appropriate professional boundaries Respond appropriately to challenging behaviors Follow the individuals support plan and approved behavioral strategies Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment Complete service notes and other required documentation accurately and on time Report incidents, concerns, or changes in the individuals behavior or condition promptly Communicate professionally with the family, agency, and other members of the support team
