Overview Join our dynamic Home Health Agency as a Part Time or Full Time Office Personnel and Insurance Verifier! Duties Verify insurance coverage for new and existing patients by reviewing insurance policies and medical records Manage medical office operations including scheduling appointments, filing medical records, and maintaining patient databases Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times Utilize managed care knowledge to coordinate benefits and streamline billing processes Perform accurate medical coding using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding systems to facilitate billing and documentation Communicate effectively with insurance companies to resolve verification issues or claim denials Assist with data entry, document organization, and general administrative support within the office setting Requirements Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding practices Familiarity with insurance verification procedures and managed care processes Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security Experience with CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems, and insurance billing procedures Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy office setting Join us today to become an essential part of delivering exceptional home health services!
