Overview As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their homes. Your primary focus will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about helping others and has the ability to work effectively in a home care environment. Duties Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including lifting as necessary. Launder clothing and linens as needed to maintain a clean living environment. Support clients with meal preparation and feeding when required. Medication reminders and monitor health conditions. Assist with catheter care and other medical needs according to established protocols. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Foster a supportive relationship with clients, encouraging social interaction and engagement in activities. Skills Proficient in patient care techniques and caregiving practices. Familiarity with medical terminology and home care systems is preferred. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is a plus. Ability to perform catheter care competently and compassionately. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
