Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to individuals with diverse needs, promoting their independence, safety, and well-being. Whether supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those in residential or community settings, your energy and commitment will help create a warm, respectful environment where clients feel valued and cared for. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact every day. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and repositioning Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Maintain accurate documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and complete detailed shift reports Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being Follow infection control procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing care areas and equipment Implement behavior management strategies for individuals with cognitive disabilities or dementia-related conditions Drive clients safely using standard passenger cars when required for appointments or community outings Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable Knowledge of ADLs assistance, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, geriatrics, and long-term care practices Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in safe patient lifting practices is preferred Ability to operate EMR systems accurately and efficiently for documentation purposes Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is a plus Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely throughout shifts Valid driver's license for driving duties related to client transportation or community outings Join us if you're passionate about providing high-quality care in a supportive environment!
