Our dedicated team offers compassionate assistance with daily activities to promote independence and enhance quality of life within familiar surroundings. Job Overview We are seeking a committed and attentive Home Health Aide for overnight shifts at our facility located in Saint Augustine, Florida. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for caregiving, demonstrating compassion, dependability, and a strong desire to support clients during nighttime hours. This role involves providing personalized care to promote comfort, safety, and well-being while maintaining strict adherence to healthcare standards and confidentiality. Duties Monitor patient condition throughout the night, observing vital signs and noting any changes or concerns. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, mobility, and medication reminders. Ensure patient safety by implementing proper transfer methods and using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Maintain accurate medical documentation and update electronic health records (EHR) systems following home healthcare regulations. Provide emotional support and companionship to clients during overnight hours, fostering a calm and reassuring environment. Perform light housekeeping tasks related to patient care, including laundry and cleaning to uphold hygiene standards. Follow all protocols related to HIPAA compliance, patient confidentiality, and infection control practices. Experience Candidates should have prior experience working with elderly or disabled individuals in settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare environments. Experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice support, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued. Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, catheter care, and CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. Additional qualifications include proficiency with EMR/EHR systems, knowledge of home health care assistance regulations, and experience handling patient transfers using various methods such as Hoyer lifts. A background in geriatrics, long-term care experience, or live-in employment roles will strengthen your application.
