Division/Department/Program:
Intellectual Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Residential As a Residential Care Provider (RCP) you will provide essential, person-centered care to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in our Residential Community Living Arrangements (CLA). In this role, you support residents in their daily living activities, promote independence, ensure safety, and enhance their quality of life in a home-like environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide direct care to individuals with IDD, assisting with basic personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, medical monitoring, and healthcare-related tasks as outlined in individualized Healthcare Plans (HCPs). Assist with toileting needs, including the use of bedpans, urinals, and commode chairs, ensuring dignity and comfort. Ensure individuals' safety by maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive living environment, adhering to DBHDD and CSB health and safety guidelines. Follow protocols for health and safety drills (e.g., fire, emergency evacuation) and report any safety concerns to the IDD Supervisor, Manager, or other IDD leadership. Plan nutritious meals, shop for groceries, prepare and serve food/meals, assist with feeding as needed, and perform clean-up duties to maintain a hygienic kitchen. Accompany individuals to scheduled medical, dental or other appointments, and assist with transportation or running errands to support their needs. Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, bed-making, and general cleaning, to ensure a tidy and comfortable living space. Monitor and report changes in individuals' physical or behavioral conditions to the IDD, Supervisor, Manager, Director or other IDD leadership promptly, ensuring compliance with HCP's. Complete daily progress notes and other required documentation in the Electronic Client Record (ECR) system (e.g., Carelogic), ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Adhere to all CSB and DBHDD training guidelines, including mandatory training (e.g., CPR, First Aid, CPI Training) and all agency policies. Maintain a positive driving record and a valid Georgia driver's license, updating as required for transporting individuals. Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED and six (6) months of relevant job-related training or experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with IDD population. Certified Nursing Assistant certification (CNA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), Direct Care Professional (DCP) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) preferred.
Requirements/Competencies:
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens. Must have a valid Driver's License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy. Must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting). Requires TB Evaluation at pre-employment and annually. Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Requires long periods of sitting/standing. Must be willing to transport residents in the company van. Must demonstrate the ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients in a residential treatment setting. Must be able to lift and carry groceries and supplies and move furniture for cleaning. Must be able to assist disabled individuals on/off vehicle and secure seatbelts. Must be able to use a gait belt and mechanical lift to lift and position individuals, as needed.

Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
