Job Description
We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and experienced home health helper/caregiver to assist an elderly patient with daily personal care, basic health monitoring, meals, and household care related to the patient's needs.
Responsibilities include:
Medication reminders and medication management support, within legal scope and training Blood pressure checks and basic vital signs monitoring Insulin administration only if properly licensed, certified, trained, or legally allowed to do so Preparing and serving breakfast Helping patient shower safely Assisting with dressing and grooming Cleaning patient after toileting or incontinence Changing adult diapers/briefs when needed Changing and making a hospital bed Keeping patient's care area clean, sanitary, and comfortable Monitoring patient's condition and reporting any changes or concerns to family Providing patient, respectful, and dependable care
Requirements:
Prior caregiving, CNA, home health, nursing aide, or similar experience preferred Must be comfortable assisting with bathing, toileting, incontinence care, and personal hygiene Must be able to safely help with transfers, repositioning, and bed changes Experience with elderly care, diabetes care, blood pressure checks, and vitals preferred Must be dependable, patient, gentle, and respectful Must maintain patient privacy and dignity at all times CPR/First Aid certification preferred CNA, HHA, LPN, RN, Certified Medication Aide, or proxy caregiver training preferred, especially for medication and insulin-related duties Ideal candidate: The right person will be kind, calm, trustworthy, and comfortable providing hands-on care. We need someone who understands that this work requires compassion, patience, cleanliness, and consistency.
