Lowe's Guardian Angel (LGA) Direct Support Professional is a Premier Provider in the State of Georgia. We are a local family owned business that is a premier provider of services for the Georgia Department of Community Health, the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities, and is a certified small local business enterprise. LGA offers a unique combination of premier home care, adult day care and community-based personal care services to Ellenwood, Riverdale and Clayton county . Ask about our shift differential! 3PM-11PM Monday-Friday 8AM- 8PM Saturday and Sunday 8PM- 8AM Saturday and Sunday 8AM-4
PM Monday-Friday Responsibilities and Duties Residential:
Supporting 4 residents with personal services such as: cooking, bathing, oral care, dressing, and grooming. Monitoring individual's condition by observing physical emotional, and mental state; Recording individual's information by making entries in daily electronic system, notifying supervisor of changes or abnormal activity; Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy environment by following agency and state policy and procedures. Preparing and serving meals and snacks by following dietary requirement and nutrition standards; Assisting with the self-administration of medications; Participating in routine and annual training opportunities; Able to transport clients to appointments when requested Ensuring that the agency remains in compliance by adhering to professional standards, home care and day program policies, procedures and federal, state, and local requirements. Qualifications and Skills
  • High School education or GED equivalent.
  • Experience working in a Personal Care Home, Assisted Living or Community Living Arrangement setting. At least one year of experience working with individuals with Intellectual disabilities. Overnight shift CPR Certification TB
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to provide a current PPD (TB test) result.
  • Must have a valid GA driver's license.
Applicant must have and provide proof upon hire: HS Diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; Negative TB test Must successfully complete Criminal background check The following areas are currently hiring: DSP, PCA, & Shift Lead Applicant must also provide to remain hired which can be trained: CPR/First Aid certification (training available) CPI Certification (training available) Must be able to complete mandatory online computer training courses Must be able to utilize a computer/internet/Microsoft word
