Our mission is to enhance quality of life through professional, respectful, and attentive care. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and caring Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals with diverse needs, promoting independence and well-being. Your energy and dedication will help create a safe, supportive environment where clients can thrive and feel valued. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking to meet individual dietary needs Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Document care activities accurately, including patient monitoring, progress notes, and incident reports Requirements Prior experience in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health care preferred Knowledge of patient care techniques including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, autism support, and hospice care Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications like HIPAA training are a plus Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities with patience and compassion Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety checks Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility tasks safely Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families Join us to make a meaningful difference in people's lives!
