Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and care to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medications according to prescribed instructions.
• Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Advocate for resident rights and ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding if necessary.

Note:

Experience in nursing homes or hospice care is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
