The Position:
We're looking for passionate Care Assistants interested in pursuing a path towards a Nurse Aide Certification to help us with providing nursing care and services to residents, that include personal and restorative care and activities of daily living. Journey begins as a Care Assistant assisting staff with non-direct care, performing supplemental duties to provide additional resources to Certified Nurse Aide staff. Following 30 days of employment Care Assistants will enroll with a state approved Certified Nurse Aide Training Program. Following completion of Certified Nurse Aide Training Program, Care Assistant is promoted to Nurse Aide (up to 120 days), providing nursing care and services to our residents, that include personal and restorative care and activities of daily living. 120 day duration will allow Nurse Aides to take their final exam (Prometric exam). Upon passing Prometric exam, Nurse Aide will be promoted to Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) and will continue their journey orienting residents to the unit and facility: Call system, shower schedule, bathroom, and common areas; introduce to residents within community; informs of meal schedule, snack times, and activity calendar. Nurse Aides/Certified Nurse Aides respond to resident calls, bells, lights, and alarms immediately. Responds to family requests and informs Charge Nurse when required.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent / Minimum age of 18 Completion of Hawaii Nurse Aide Training Program. Scheduled Prometric exam within 120 days of hire. Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance (can be done in-house).
