Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, long-term care needs, or those requiring assistance in daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to fostering independence and dignity while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's specific needs and preferences. Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities and outings. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and any changes in client condition or behavior accurately. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care. Skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of long-term care practices and home community care principles. Familiarity with assisted living environments and social work practices is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Proficient in assisting clients with daily tasks while promoting independence. Direct support experience is beneficial for understanding client needs effectively.
