Job Description
POSITION
: Part Time positions as a Direct Support Professional (Life Skills Coach (LSC)) position in Decorah, Iowa. As a Life Skills Coach (LSC-1) you'll provide crucial direct care services for deserving dependent adults. You will help our clients achieve their selected goals by performing various services that are client-focused and client-driven. Our staff provide empathy and respect to individuals while working in a team dynamic to ensure the best possible care. Assisting the clients to make progress towards their overall goal is the ultimate reward!RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct support to individuals & assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and caregiving tasks.
- Utilize strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and other team members.
- Implement behavior management techniques to support individuals, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and social workers to coordinate care plans and ensure holistic support.
- Assist with medication administration and data collection as needed.
- Drive individuals to appointments and activities, providing safe and reliable transportation.
- Maintain a high standard of care and professionalism in all interactions, upholding the values of the organization and promoting a positive work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
: Must be 18+ in age High School Diploma Favorable driving record Full range of body motion, manual dexterity and normal range of vision and hearing Pass a background check, physical, TB test, & drug screenSCHEDULE OPTIONS
LSC-1,Part-time:
