at Aspenwood Residential Rehabilitation in Twin Falls, Idaho, United States Job Description Job description: Aspenwood Residential Rehabilitation Direct Support Professional (DSP) Job Description Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. A high school diploma or GED is required, or demonstrated ability/experience in providing services aligned with a plan of care. Must pass a background check through the Department of Health and Welfare. Must have access to a working cell phone. Basic technology and computer skills required. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain up-to-date vehicle insurance on file. Reliable transportation required, with the ability to transport clients in a personal vehicle per client's needs. Must hold valid CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications for adult care. Must obtain an Assistance with Medication Certificate. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working with individuals with mental or physical disabilities.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities Support Daily Living Skills:
Assist clients in developing and maintaining essential life skills, including: Meal preparation in accordance with a provided meal plan. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of personal and shared living spaces. Managing appointments, social engagements, and timely arrival at scheduled activities. Budgeting and financial management to support independent living. Personal hygiene support, including bathing, grooming, and oral care. Building and sustaining healthy relationships and social interactions.
Client Transportation:
Ensure clients are safely transported to all scheduled appointments and social outings (minimum of one per shift) using personal transportation, contingent upon office approval.
Provide Safe and Continuous Support:
Maintain appropriate supervision levels (arm's length, line of sight, awake and alert as required) to ensure client safety at all times.
Promote Independence and Inclusion:
Engage clients in recreational and leisure activities, facilitate functional communication, implement behavior support strategies, and promote increased autonomy within the community.
Documentation and Compliance:
Complete daily documentation of client engagement and progress, ensuring accurate reporting on time logs, Activities of Daily Living (ADL), goals, support strategies, and Medication Administration Records (MAR). To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
