Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a House Sitter, where your compassionate care and attention to detail will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents' homes and loved ones. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide reliable support for individuals in need, whether they require assistance with daily activities, medication management, or companionship. As a House Sitter, you will be the trusted presence in the home, delivering exceptional caregiving services that promote independence and peace of mind for families and residents alike. Your proactive approach and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in people's lives every day. Duties Provide attentive supervision and assistance to residents or clients, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or assisting with transfers Administer medications accurately following care plans and medication schedules while maintaining detailed documentation in EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems Monitor vital signs and observe health status changes; communicate updates promptly to healthcare professionals or family members Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment within the home Drive clients to appointments or errands safely while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols Manage emergency situations effectively by applying first aid skills and following established protocols for medical or behavioral incidents Support individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or hospice needs through personalized care strategies Implement behavior management techniques and conflict resolution strategies to foster a positive environment Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and provide direct support to individuals with disabilities or special needs Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and patient care standards ensures confidentiality and professionalism Experience working with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or other cognitive impairments is preferred Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and case management enhances efficiency in caregiving tasks Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required for transportation duties Certifications such as CPR/First Aid are highly valued to ensure safety during emergencies
