) Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, aging, and health conditions such as dementia or autism. In this vital role, you will empower residents to achieve their highest quality of life by assisting with daily activities, monitoring health and safety, and fostering a positive, respectful environment. Your dedication will help create a nurturing space where independence and dignity are prioritized, ensuring residents feel valued and supported every day. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and comfort. Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs to ensure health stability; respond promptly to changes in condition. Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans developed by healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary restrictions; assist residents with meal consumption when needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, and treatment spaces. Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers; assist with mobility as required. Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations; communicate effectively with team members about resident needs. Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and mental well-being. Follow all safety protocols including CPR, first aid, and dementia or Alzheimer's care procedures to safeguard residents' health. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, social workers, and family members to develop and implement personalized care plans. Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, group homes, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient care techniques including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient observation. Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or dementia care are a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper techniques; physical stamina for long shifts involving mobility assistance. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments like Alzheimer's or autism. Experience working with individuals requiring memory care or hospice support is advantageous. Basic cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic environment; familiarity with infection control protocols. Pay:

$15.50 - $17.00 per hour
