Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential support, assistance, and empowerment to individuals with disabilities, encouraging them to live independently by providing personalized care, including assistance with daily living tasks, medication administration, transportation, and community integration. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of others and contribute to their overall happiness and comfort. Job Duties and Responsibilities 1)
Person-Centered Care:
Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, while respecting their dignity, privacy, and personal preferences 2)
Companionship:
Engage clients in meaningful conversations, activities, and hobbies to promote socialization, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being. 3)
Light Housekeeping:
Perform home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning. 4)
Meal Preparation:
Plan meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals, feeding, and clean-up. 5)
Medication Reminders/Administration:
Remind and assist clients with self-administration of medications (with proper training). 6)
Transportation:
Accompany clients to scheduled appointments and transport clients to their preferred activities. 7)
Mandatory Reporting:
Report changes in the client's condition or family situation to administrators and supervisors. 8)
Record Keeping & Electronic Visit Verification:
Document and maintain accurate records of client care, including daily activities, assigned tasks, any client requests, and any significant observations or changes in the client's condition. 9)
Safety and Emergency Preparedness:
Recognize and respond to emergencies promptly, following established protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of clients. 10)
Respect and Professionalism:
Demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions with clients, their families, office staff, and other healthcare professionals. Show up to scheduled shifts on time and with a positive attitude.

Unlimited Overtime Requirements:
1) Communication skills (verbal and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company. 2) Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time. 3) High School diploma, GED, or equivalent. 4) Must be 18 years of age or older. 5) Must hold a valid driver's license and vehicle registration (if transporting).
