Turn Afternoons Into Meaningful Impact If you enjoy working with children and want a rewarding role in human services, education support, or disability services, consider joining Wabash Center as a Youth Services Direct Support Professional (DSP). In this role, you will support children and young adults with disabilities in a structured after-school and community-based setting. You will help participants build life skills, develop social connections, and achieve individualized goals in a safe and engaging environment. This position is ideal for individuals interested in part-time work in education, behavioral health, special education, social services, or caregiving. Key Responsibilities As a Youth Services DSP, you will: Support structured games, activities, and learning experiences Encourage social interaction, peer engagement, and teamwork Assist participants in working toward IEP, PCISP, and ISP goals Support daily routines, life skills development, and snack preparation Provide personal care assistance as needed Assist with medication administration and communicate health concerns Provide transportation and supervision during community-based activities Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive environment Qualifications Caring, patient, and dependable demeanor Interest in working with children and young adults with disabilities Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Professionalism and reliability in a structured after-school setting Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Paid training is provided. Experience in education, childcare, behavioral health, or direct care is preferred but not required. Schedule After-School Program:
Monday-Friday 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM Additional hours in other departments may be available for individuals interested in expanding their schedule.
