Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to clients in their daily lives. The ideal candidate will assist with personal care, facilitate communication, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those served. All positions are paid and contribute significantly to improving clients' quality of life. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, fostering a trusting relationship. Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or social activities to ensure clients can attend their scheduled engagements safely. Support clients in home care activities, including light housekeeping and medication reminders as needed. Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary to ensure safety during emergencies. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in client condition. Follow all safety protocols and adhere to care plans established by healthcare professionals. Experience Prior experience in personal care, home health, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Strong communication skills and the ability to connect empathetically with clients are essential. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with professionalism and compassion. Reliable transportation means are necessary for providing client transportation assistance.
