Our HHAs play an important role in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, independent, and connected to their communities. The ideal candidate is reliable, respectful, patient, and genuinely enjoys helping others. You will work closely with clients, families, and the Jubilant Healthcare Agency care team to ensure each client receives services according to their individual needs and service plan.
Responsibilities:
Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living as permitted by the client's service plan and applicable Indiana requirements. Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other personal care needs. Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and maintaining a safe environment. Provide assistance with meal preparation and basic household tasks related to the client's care. Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction. Assist clients with maintaining independence and participating in appropriate activities. Observe and report changes in the client's condition, behavior, mood, or needs to the appropriate supervisor. Follow each client's individualized service plan and agency policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided. Protect client privacy and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and agency policies. Report incidents, safety concerns, suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, or other concerns according to agency policy and applicable requirements. Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, nurses, and other members of the care team. Attend required training, staff meetings, and competency evaluations. Maintain professional boundaries and follow Jubilant Healthcare Agency's policies regarding gifts, money, and client relationships. Perform other duties related to client care as assigned and permitted by the employee's qualifications and applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience providing care to elderly, disabled, or other individuals requiring assistance is preferred. HHA, CNA, PCA, or related caregiving experience is preferred, as applicable to the position. Must demonstrate the ability to provide compassionate and respectful care. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently in a client's home. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, families, and agency staff. Must successfully complete required agency screening, orientation, training, and competency requirements. Must meet applicable Indiana employment and health-screening requirements. Reliable transportation is preferred/required depending on the assigned position. Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Pay:
$15.50 - $18.50 per hour
