Day Training Specialist (Full-Time, Part-Time, & PRN) Make Every Day Meaningful | Monday - Friday | No Nights, Weekends, or Holidays! Are you a high-energy, creative individual looking for a career that offers the perfect work-life balance? Whether you are looking for a stable 40-hour week or a flexible part-time/PRN schedule to fit your lifestyle, we are seeking enthusiastic direct support providers to help our participants have the "best day ever." At our Day Training program we teach, explore, and ensure every individual has a fulfilling day.
The Role:
Skill Builder & Community Guide As a Day Training DSP, you are an educator and a motivator. You will jump into the action to ensure our participants are engaged, safe, and learning the skills they need to lead independent, social, and joyful lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage & Teach:
Use your creativity to teach social skills, budgeting, personal care, and safety through engaging activities.
Community Integration:
Provide transportation and support for community outings, volunteer opportunities, and local exploration.
Holistic Support:
Maintain a watchful eye on health and welfare, assisting with personal care (feeding, toileting) and providing emotional support or de-escalation when necessary.
Documentation:
Maintain quick and accurate records of progress and hours worked, ensuring compliance with SCL and Michelle P. Waiver regulations. Be the "Fun"
Factor:
Assist in planning creative activities so that participants are always learning and never bored.
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Age:
18+ (21+ preferred).
Safety:
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Physical Ability:
Must be able to keep up with an active group, including lifting, walking, and being on your feet.
Vibe:
A positive attitude and the willingness to accept constructive feedback for professional growth. Experience (Preferred): Experience with challenging behaviors, direct care, or SCL/Michelle P. Waiver services is a big plus! Why You'll Love Working With Us The "Dream"
Schedule:
All roles operate Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. You will never be asked to work a double, stay overnight, or work a holiday.
