Murray, KY 42071 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Animal Care Assistant to join our team in Murray, KY. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily care and well-being of animals, ensuring a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. This role is perfect for individuals who love working with animals and want to contribute to their health and happiness. Key Responsibilities Feed, water, and monitor animals according to established schedules and dietary requirements. Clean and maintain animal living areas, including cages, kennels, and common spaces. Assist with animal handling during routine health checks, treatments, and grooming. Observe and report any changes in animal behavior or health to supervisors or veterinary staff. Support the team with daily operations, including inventory management of supplies and equipment. Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation protocols. Provide compassionate care and attention to animals to promote their well-being. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience working with animals preferred but not required. Ability to handle animals safely and with care. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, cleaning, and standing for extended periods. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
