Baton Rouge, LA Job Details $11 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Summary Provide direct support to program individuals in the Supported Living Program Essential Functions Assist program individuals with implementation of comprehensive plans of care Assist and/or train individuals in performance of activities of daily living Personal hygiene Light housekeeping Shopping etc. Empower individuals to develop leisure, social and employment skills Follow all guidelines & procedures related to EZ Labor (clocking in & out, reviewing time cards, requesting edit sheets, etc.). Monitor and report program individual's compliance with all physician orders (including Medical and psychiatric) Maintain required documentation (progress notes, incident reports, etc.) Submit all required documentation timely and with all required signatures Report any significant concerns to supervisor Maintain training requirements Attend and participate in staff meetings Projects and duties as assigned Competencies Communication Proficiency Accountability for Others Balanced Decision Making Leading Others Flexibility Initiative Analysis of Data Problem Management Supervisory Responsibility N/A Required Education and Experience Must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED, OR have 18 months of verifiable work experience in providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities or elderly. A valid driver's license, vehicle in operating condition and vehicle insurance is also required. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with heavier weight necessary at times. You are constantly required to stand; walk or occasionally climb stairs and use your hands and arms to reach objects. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. In addition, you will receive specialized training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). This training is provided to you so that you can effectively handle serious emotional and physical behavior that may be exhibited in dealing with the person(s) you will support. You must be physically and mentally able to effectively complete, pass, and execute the learned course material on the job.
