  • Position Overview
  • We are seeking compassionate and dedicated
  • Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
  • to support individuals with disabilities in a structured and supportive environment in a day hab/residential setting. As a DSP, you will play a critical role in promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life for residents through hands-on care, skill development, and community engagement.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Support & Care
  • + Provide direct supervision and care to individuals with disabilities + Assist with: + Personal hygiene and daily living activities + Medical and dental care coordination + Meal preparation and household management + Support development of: + Social and communication skills + Independent living skills, including financial and travel training + Encourage and assist participation in religious practices (if desired) •Program Implementation•+ Implement and follow •Individual Support Plans (ISPs)•+ Track progress and support ongoing development goals + Follow behavior plans, medical protocols, and prescribed interventions •Community & Vocational Support•+ Support residents in vocational and community-based activities + Encourage integration and participation in community programs •Safety & Compliance•+ Ensure adherence to all housing rules and applicable regulations + Assist residents in maintaining compliance with guidelines set by landlords or housing authorities + Provide physical assistance when required, including: + Lifting and transfers + Emergency response and restraint (as needed) •Qualifications•+ Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred + Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills + Ability to follow structured care plans and documentation requirements + Comfortable providing hands-on care and physical support + Reliable and compassionate with a commitment to person-centered care •Physical Requirements•+ Ability to lift, transfer, and provide physical assistance to residents + Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations •Why Join Us?

  • The Direct Support Personnel I assists individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges with growth and development of interpersonal skills and activities of daily living in the home, community or residential setting.
The Direct Support Personnel I works directly with the resident and provides supports for activities of daily living and adaptive skills. The Direct Support Personnel I should follow the guidance of the resident/ patients Individual Service Plan.
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • + High School diploma or its equivalent + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice + Current CPR if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health Certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age + Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks
