Job Description

MAP certified candidates - $21/hour Non-MAP certified candidates - $19/hour
Hours:
Casual Relief (called in on need basis), Part time, Full time United Cerebral Palsy of MetroBoston(UCP) is a progressive, non-profit agency committed to advancing the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with disabilities. UCP is looking for Direct Support Professionals and Casual Relief for our Residential Group Homes in the route 95 south area of Massachusetts area.
Responsibilities:
Assisting individuals in meeting the mission of UCP. Assist individuals with activities of daily living and skill development. Provide personal care to consumers. Participate in social and recreational activities both within and outside of the home. Assist individuals to develop and foster relationships in their community.
Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma and a minimum of one year in a human service related position, preferably working with individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities. Candidates must have a valid driving license, clean driving record, and be willing to drive UCP vehicles. MAP (MEDICATION

CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.
Working Conditions:
The DSP is expected to commit the time and talents necessary to fulfill the requirements of the position in an exemplary manner. Travel is primarily local and will be required to transport individuals in large or small vehicles. The DSP must possess the physical ability and willingness to assist persons served in personal care, which will include physical transfers and assistance with bathroom routines. Must have a full range of motion including the ability to bend, push, pull, bear-weight, and stoop for approximately forty-five minutes at a time. Will be required to attend meeting/training during unscheduled hours. May be required to work at another UCP location during time on shift as staffing coverage necessitates. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

$21 for MAP certified individuals
