Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional support to individuals in various care settings. In this role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health and well-being, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or neurodevelopmental disorders Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Help with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment Use proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts to ensure safety during mobility assistance Support residents' participation in community activities or outings using personal transportation assistance Observe and document changes in patient condition or behavior for ongoing care planning Follow all safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification requirements, and HIPAA compliance Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to provide patient personal care assistance with compassion and professionalism Experience working with individuals with autism, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous Knowledge of care plans, medication administration procedures, vital signs monitoring, and patient transfer methods is essential Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality in healthcare settings is required Previous roles involving senior care or long-term care demonstrate strong caregiving skills Hands-on experience with manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer devices is beneficial Join us if you're passionate about making a positive impact through dedicated caregiving!
