The ideal candidate values developing a long-term working relationship and is committed to supporting a person?s growth, independence, and quality of life. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, and will be committed to fostering independence and enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role involves providing direct support, teaching essential life skills, and promoting positive behaviors in a supportive environment. Duties Provide individualized support to clients in developing daily living skills and achieving personal goals. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and reduce challenging behaviors. Facilitate social interactions and community involvement to enhance social skills and independence. Utilize effective communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and team members. Drive clients to appointments or community activities as required, ensuring their safety during transportation. Qualifications Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Previous experience in home & community care or caregiving is beneficial. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and families. Ability to manage behavior effectively while promoting a positive environment. A valid driver\'s license is required for transportation duties.
